What can be done about the recent increase in vandalism?

Vandalism is a serious problem, recognized by the Board, the Property Management company, and the Mt. Pleasant Police Department. Unfortunately, there is no simple solution. We are actively pursuing each incident of vandalism and contact MPPD to file formal reports. 

The single most effective means of curbing vandalism is community vigilance. If you see something, say something (see the FAQ “Reporting Vandalism”). Speak with your children about the costs of vandalism and encourage them to speak up if they witness an act of vandalism.

The Treasurer is now tracking the costs of vandalism as a separate line item and, going forward, will be able to provide reports to the community as to the precise cost of vandalism.
